Shirvan Kilim, hand-woven circa 1930's in the Caucasus.  Known for their dominant geometric compositions these rugs reflect vivid color palettes.  This piece was wovven in hues of brown, orange, mulberry and ivory using a pattern handed down from generations of rug weavers.  Rugs from this region were usually woven by women and could be used as part of their dowry.  This piece is in excellent condition.  Size 6.0 x 11.6
