- The Dreaded Nail Polish Spill - Always allow it to dry and harden completely (really!). Gently scrape as much of the hardened polish (consider a butter knife) and from there, residuals should be easily removed with acetone nail polish remover. A final resort would be a dry cleaning solvent.
